Lena Pozzo di Borgo - I WISH IT LASTED LONGER

I Wish It Lasted Longer is a visual series about fleeting desire and the quiet frustration of impermanence. Moments we want to stretch, pause, or repeat. ICE CREAM, THIS SONG, THE DINOSAURS, THIS PHONE CALL and MY ATTENTION.

Through these five subthemes, the project looks at different forms of longing: sensory, emotional, nostalgic, and relational. Each subject becomes a metaphor for something that disappears too quickly, loses its intensity, or slips away the moment we try to hold onto it.The series plays with scale, humour, and intimacy, between still images and moving image to mirror how memories form and fade. Some moments are playful, others quietly unsettling, but all share the same tension: the desire for duration in a world built on interruption.

I Wish It Lasted Longer is less about what is lost, and more about the act of noticing: that split second when you realise something is already ending
