Lena Pozzo di Borgo (2002) is a French and Japanese multi-disciplinary artist, creative director, and fashion enthusiast working across photography and video. Born and raised in Paris, she moved to the UK in 2020 to study Business and Sustainable Development at the University of Warwick.
Immersed in the university's dynamic and ambitious environment, Lena Pozzo di Borgo developed her interest in fashion and arts, leading her to join the Fashion & Arts Society of Warwick, LINE, in 2022. Serving as the "Head of the Fashion Show", she managed a diverse team with Rani Mandalia during a six-month journey to orchestrate a one-off fashion show.
Collaborating with 35 models, 18 designers, 9 makeup artists, and 8 photographers, she conceptualised a compelling theme and actively promoted the event. Collaborating with Mathias Obrzut, she directed a promotional video shot in a local church, creating visuals that gained over 25,000 views on Instagram and were projected on the campus’ big screen.
Months of meticulous preparation paid off when LINE sold out its event, surpassing attendance projections by 80%. Beyond its commercial success, the show created fond memories for university students and beyond via the VIOU livestream, attracting an audience of over 1,000 people who tuned in to watch the show. The show also secured funding for organisations like Unicef and the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency in Turkey. In addition to directing, Lena designed three outfits, reflecting her diverse artistic and technical abilities.
Elevating artistic expression through photography and scans, Lena secured a coveted position to showcase three photographs for an independent art collective named 'Æ Kollektivitat', exploring the theme 'Retinal Rausch'. Recently, she delved into her Japanese culture after visiting her grandmother in Japan, discovering a trove of items that captured her attention. This exploration has ignited a new chapter in Lena's creative journey, blending her diverse cultural influences into her evolving artistic lens.
